    60PX950 No display

I need some help. My LG 60PX950 died on me. The set will power on, but I cannot get anything on the display. I can tell the panel is gettin power since it has a slight glow when the power is on. I can press the volume button and the light on the tv flashes, but nothing comes up on the screen. Before this happened the tv would have some pink vertical lines in the screen from time to time (1 pixel in width), but they would not always be in the screen if I turned off the tv and then turned it back on. I would like to try to repair the unit, but I am not sure what board I would need to buy to attempt to repair it. Any one have any ideas?

I will get some this afternoon, anything in particular I should take a pic of? Since there is no image on the screen at all I am not sure what help that will be. The power light on the bottom of the screen comes on when I turn on the TV and the led flashes like normal when I press any input button on the tv (volume, channel, menu etc) but that is all of output I get from the unit right now. I did not get any pictures of the tv screen with the vertical lines before it totally died.

Ok, I'll get the TV off of the wall and get those pics. Thanks for the help!

Check your VA, VS voltage points on power board and compare them with panel sticker. Don't see sticker maybe under something.

Center of control board, lower right. Two holes marked R52 & R51. Take a paperclip bent in a U and put an end in each hole, only after shutting down the tv!!!!!!! Remove the flat ribbon cable that goes to the mainboard. Turn on set. You should see test patterns on the screen. If you do, the mainboard on yours is bad.

Ok so I did that and the test patter came on (tv screen ran through a series of colors then did some gray testing). I could not see everything based on how I have the tv laying but I'm pretty sure that was it. So this may be a dumb question but by main board I assume that it is the board in the lower left corner names main board (lol). I have seen some repair services on eBay, but does any one else know the best place to get one of these boards?

Perfect, that's what I thought. I got the part number and did some searching. Looks like the part is hard to find, but there is a sub model. I see some people have had issues with the sud model so I will send this board of for repair and if that does not work I will get the sub model if I can't find the oem model.

I just wanted to follow up and let everyone know I did get the plasma working. I sent the board off for repair and I got it back in about 10 days. TV came right on with no issues. Total cost was $115 and everything is working great now! Thank you guys for the help!

I have a similar issue with my LG 60PX950 tv where I'm not getting any picture or sound. I added a jumper wire between R52 & R51 as you suggested with the ribbon cable removed from the mainboard and my screen goes from black to grayish white...no test patterns. Any further suggestions would be most appreciated!
