Samsung bootloop problem - searched fixes don't help

Hi all, Just put my ue32d5520rk in my daughters room, after running an aerial cable in. Plugged all in, re-tuned and all ok. I was looking at setting up the child lock, so pressed the 'E Manual' button on the remote, then it rebooted after a few seconds and I never saw the manual, then kept doing this.

Reading up online, I tried holding 'exit' for 15 seconds, but that did nothing.

I read to press MUTE 2,5,8 EXIT. This appears to stop it rebooting, but doesn't say its updating software, like it should with that button combination. But the TV wont do anything. Even the buttons on the tv wont change channel, but the LED flicks to say its noticed and input. But the fact the TV stays on rules out the power board (no bulging caps either) to me and points at the main board.

Then I read to take the back off the TV, link out the eeprom, M_reset to SDA. Power on and wait 20 seconds, then power off. Power back on once link wire removed and its reset. Nope, not for me.

I checked the ribbon cable and cannot see any signs of overheating.

I've removed all plugs, blown out with air and put back together, nothing.

I have read on here to freeze the eeprom, so I can give that a go tomorrow.

    Any help appreciated.

Just tried freezing the eeprom, but that did nothing. Still identical fault.
Tried linking out the pins on the motherboard to hard reset it, but it still wont do that either.

is there anything in the service menu that says factory reset? if there is do one it may solve the issue.
Im not sure of the service menu code for your tv but have just saw this in another thread.

Step 1: Make sure your TV is on standby (i.e. off, but plugged into the wall)

Step 2: Using your remote, press the following buttons in exactly this order: INFO – MENU – MUTE – POWER.
Note: You have to press them rather quickly one after another, and make sure the remote is properly pointing to the TV.

Step 3: The TV will now switch on, and after a moment, display the service menu. If after about 10 or 15 seconds the service menu doesn’t appear, switch off the TV and try again.

Step 4: Press the Options button (It’s the first option).

Step 4: Press the Factory Reset Button (Again, it’s the first option).

Step 5: The TV will now switch off.

Step 6: Switch the TV back on, and begin the full setup process from the beginnig

Thanks for the input. I can't get the tv into standby, when I switch on at the wall it turns on itself and then goes into a reboot loop.
If I press the power button on the remote, it ignores it and just waits to reboot. Even the button on the tv won't put it into standby.

certainly sounds like a mainboard issue i know some samsungs you can fit a new blank eeprom and when you start the tv back up it writes back to the eeprom (or something like that) what is the full model number of the tv.
when you press MUTE 2,5,8 EXIT is there a option for factory reset?

When I press the mute 2,5,8,exit combination, nothing comes up on the screen. If I have the aerial plugged in, it displays the channel and doesn't reboot. That's all. If no aerial plugged in, it's just a blank screen, but the back light is on.
Perhaps the eprom is faulty as the linking out on the mainland to reset it doesn't work. If anything it should be the one thing that wipes it clean completely from any condition.

Cheers, I did see a YouTube vid. But as the tv seems to be a but stubborn I didn't know if it would work.
I will give it a go though, as running out of free ideas lol. And I don't want to let it beat me!

sometimes you may get lucky if you ring samsung direct they may send you the firmware on a usb stick with install instructions but as you say you have nothing too loose by trying failing that look on ebay etc for a cheap mainboard that matches the lcd panel used in your tv.

Been looking for a mainland, nothing around. Hopefully one pops up.
Have found a 3rd party repair for 59quid plus postage. That will be my lat resort.

Thats if it is the firware causing the issues but from what your saying it does sound like it maybe the cause

Looks like I will need menu access to make the upgrade via USB and as the tv wont respond to anything, looks like I'm a bit pooped.
I'll have a try again, but it doesn't look promising

I had the same issue recently unfortunately the t.v. does not give you enough time to even enter service menu
Tried reseting the eeprom etc but ended up swapping the main board

Did your TV respond to the remote at all? Did you try the reset on the back of the main board?
