Hello, I have a Samsung PS51E6500 Plasma TV. It stopped working while watching a 3D movie. The screen turned black, the SmartTV logo came up for about half a second. The screen stays completely black and it doesn't react to anything, including changing channels, opening the menu, etc. The sound, however, does work. When the TV is turned on, there is a slight glow for about 2 seconds, after which the screen turns completely black.
I checked the Va and Vs voltages. They are correct and do not fluctuate. The logic board has a green blinking light that blinks at a pace of 1 a second. I checked the y buffer board with a multi-meter and as far as I can tell, none of the chips are short-circuited. I ran the PAL test successfully by connecting the 2 pins on the logic board. The y board seems to be working because when I plug it out from the logic board, the logic board reports an error (one blink per 5 seconds).
It sounds as though this is a problem with the main board because everything else seems to be working fine, however, I can't find a test online specifically for the main board. I am wondering whether there is something I have missed out.
