    KDL60NX800 Sony

Set had some vertical green and white lines reported by previous owner..when I checked they were not in any kind of pattern, but there were about 15 of them at various intervals on the screen..I have previously had a 52 inch version exhibit similar performance and it wound up being a faulty T-con.
When I opened it up, there is a sheen like a silicone spray sheen on the ICs on the T-con..I found silicone gel on some pads on the back side of the T-con...Is it possible that the board or a chip got hot enough to vaporize the gel to a point where it traveled to the front side of the board?

The Chip that looks like it was hot enough to evaporate the gel in the center is a 256Mb I-die DDR2 SDRAM module..

What should I put back on the pads when I replace the board, if anything? I have a board coming from China.

The T-Con Board was the issue..hard to find. Bought a new one from China..Took a month to come across..but the price was great and worth the wait.
