    Panasonic TX-P50G10 ( 7 blinks )

    Hey guys ,

Im trying to repair this 50 inch panasonic tv with 7 blinks. Already isolated the problem to the sc board with shorted parts. Buffers are ok.

    Last week i repaired a 42inch V10 but the panel is bad. Can i use the sc board from a 42inch v10 in a 50inch G10?

It uses the same D board and all wholes and connectors match perfectly.
Anyone have experience with switching sc boards in different sets?

It also uses the same mainboard. Powersupply is almost indentical to the V10.

Vsus on 42V10 is 209V and on the 50G10 is 199V so i might need to play with that IF it works. Im afraid to try it but i got a feeling that it might work?

I thought the G10 would have the larger 4782 board?

One things for sure, i don't see the SC connecting to the SD/SU as the connectors are wrong. I don't see any 4844 for 50" size but 4829AB was used in some of the lower models. A 42 " board i would say will be under rated, and mismatched to the panel.

The 4782 comes out of the G10 but it's smaller then the board thats in the tv right now.

I have not connected the cables to the buffers yet but they fit perfectly. The board is also used in 50 inch models but not the G10 so im not sure if it will work or not.

Whats the worst thing that can happen besides shorting the parts?

You are right TW2005 , the connectors dont fit. Did not look close enough.

I'll swap the shorted parts from the working board to the defective 4782 to repair this tv.

Not an easy board to do, have you done one before?

There can be a lot of parts needed to repair these, some that are getting hard to find (2SJ281/RJK6026/2PG011/RJP6065/45G127+SMD drivers, resistors, diodes) I would go with a replacement board, definitely not an easy repair as TW has said.I do not think the TNPA4829 will help with donor parts, best to keep that as a working board for when its needed

Apart from the P FET I don't think I used a single original part. A lot of bits I used were from doing the 5081. RJP63F3 is fine for the 6065, The RJK6026 is just a FET so plenty to choose there, 45G128 for the 127 and the FET driver IC 737 was also suitable as a swap. You could use a DG501 or 502 for the 2PG011 but I had none of those blown.

some of the subs listed are also getting hard to find in TO-220F. and I would not mix and match any that are grouped or paired( one 2PG011 +DG501/2)as these need to be matched

                      Thanksfor the replies guys!

@TW2005 , no i have not repaired any of these older y-sus boards yet. I did order ALL parts in bulk for the board you repaired. I got a few of these boards , they were thrown in the bin by a tv company and i took them out

Well i must say , it takes alot of time to desolder the parts and replacing the board is not optional , they are too pricey.
I think i am going to repair the board myself , its just for the hobbie and i got all the time.

                        Replaced 2PG011 for DG502LW

                        Can i replace 30G123 for 30F123?

Also , will RF2001 also work for any of the parts on this board? TNPA4782

                          ?

                          you mean with?

502 is fine for pg011 but like flocko said you'll have to replace all in the bank as they are parallel

30F for 30G, F is lower voltage rating than G

RF2001 on its own does not tell us what voltage or type of diode , it's 20A that's all I can tell

sounds like this board has a lot of different parts failed than what mine had

GT30F123 =300v 200A GT30G123 =430v 200A RF2001= 350V 20A dual diode hope this helps. As i said in my last post, with these board you can expect to replace a lot of parts and if you fail to pickup on any,and fire the board up,you will be back to the start replacing them again, that was why I said get a replacement board. but let us know how you get on and good luck

What i meant was; Can i use the 30F123 for the 30G123? Just to power it up and see if the board works.

About 10 or 12 parts have failed. Will list them when i get home.

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.

Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.

Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...

                                Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

                                Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                                Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                                Hello all,
As the title states, I followed the troubleshooting guide located here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/23...page=53#manual, which concluded the 'A' board needs to be replaced. Looking around the net and eBay, I see that there are repair services for the board (TNPH1043UE? Not sure if it is a 'UE' as the suffix grid does not appear marked). What additional troubleshooting can be performed to ensure 1) this board is the problem and 2) since there are repair services, what are they fixing on the board?) I expected 3.3V not to be available anywhere...
