question about boards used in TV Model Ranges

Not sure if anyone will know this...

Are boards re used in larger TV's

    So say a 22" board may be used in a 22",26" and 32" then say a board from a 37" in a 40" and 42" etc....

and if so do the powerboards need any mods like putting in caps or diodes in the holes that are not filled....

some brand like Toshiba, LG, Sony. used the sane Main Board at different sizes, but not always just some serial models, the change will be at Engineering mode, to change panel Type code size.

And from a recent experience even if the boards look identical they can have software residing in their SPI chips to drive various size and make of LCD panels which you have to match.

Some write the firmware to the size of the screen and the amount of Lvds channels but in newer Led ones they are actually writing the firmware only to work with one screen not lots of the same size.

I have had it where I put a 37" Lg Fhd mainboard in a 50" Lg Fhd and it worked fine but depends on the brand and age of the Tv really. Over the years they have become less universal.
