Hi , Guys , I have a Toshiba set fitted with Vestel 17MB95-R3 main board, I can not get the firmware so I played about with some bush files I have and now I have got the set on but only 2 of the HDMI are working and the set only responds to a vestel remote instead of the Toshiba on as tosh use there own different codes, I have been to the toshiba site and downloaded the correct firmware but the toshiba site is only update software for a set which comes on, the toshiba site does not include the boot loader file MB BOOT, so I took the toshiba firmware and added the M boot file from the bush set but now the set wont come on , I assumed the MBoot files were all the same as they did appear to be in the 17MB62 board but they are not the same for the 17MB95, I have opened some in hex workshop and there are differences in the SPI flash adresse locations, so I need a boot file for a 17mb95 r3 from a Toshiba set , anyone have this ?
Or do we have any software engineers that could point me to the right memory locations so I can edit the boot files I already have to match the Toshiba set ??????
When I got the set on with the bush firmware , I could go into upload new software and download the Toshiba file on its own with no boot loader which worked as the menu and background colours changed form the yellow bush ones to the blue toshiba but the set only works with the vestel remote and not the correct toshiba one , So I can only assume the remote control codes are held in the boot file , which I could compare if I had one from a Toshiba set .
