Pioneer DVR-545HX AV input on TV

    Hi to all.

Just repaired an recorder from pioneer DVR-545HX, changed laser unit and HDD unit.
Everything goes well, problem is when you turn on recorder (plugged by scart)
it won´t change on TVs input, unless you press play or Home Menu it will change.

The customer has 3 recorders all from Pioneer all diferent models and all off then does change input on Tv.
So i´ve checked all configuracions, reset to factory, No Sucess.

Checked for soldering pins. It has 5V otherwise would´t change on Play feature.

The only thing i can´t do is upgrade version from 2.17 to 2.21 always error.

820-02020 Super Weird Issue: Keyboard Input Character Map "Wrong"?
    by ugamazing
So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:

    1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.

    2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not...

    by zen
    Hi all

Seems that the CD reader had failed .

Could only find it listed on Ebay via Liberty Electronics .

Have bought from them before & been quite reliable .

Quite an expensive part & wondering if there are any other suppliers in UK , or Europe so that i can save on post .

Pioneer PL-X9 motor speed control wobble
    by Bushcat
I'm starting to re-cap a Pioneer PL-X9 turntable, specifically the motor control board, because although everything tests out OK according to the service manual, the speed wavers slightly despite the quartz lock light remaining on. So, I've decided to re-cap that board since it's the cheapest next step...

Pioneer's passive component naming convention is clear to me. For example, CSZA R22M 35 is tantalum, radial leads, 0.22uF, 20%, 35V.

BUT there are two capacitors on the board which have actual Pioneer part numbers: PCL-042. I can tell they are 0.1uF, 16V but don't...

[Help Needed] Yatour YT-M06 (Pioneer 1) – Firmware or Schematic Request
    by EduCabral
    Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on reviving a Yatour YT-M06 CD Changer Emulator module for use with a Pioneer 1 interface (specifically with a DEH-P5950IB head unit).

While the unit is recognized as a CD changer, none of the USB, SD, or AUX features respond, which leads me to believe the firmware may be corrupted or incompatible.

    🔧 Details:
    • Model: YT-M06
    • Interface: Pioneer 1
    • MCU: Fujitsu MB89F202
    • Goal: Find a valid .bin firmware file or memory dump from a working unit

I'm happy to attempt flashing, analyzing memory dumps, or doing hardware-level...

    Crua CR270C shorted input.
    by redbaron1007
I've got a Crua CR270C that had a short to ground on the input jack. The input was rated at 12v 4A center pin positive. When I took the board out and powered it with my bench power supply it jumped to 3v and 4A CC and a chip labeled either TM3db2 or TV3db2. I'm not able to find anything online typing in those strings of letters and numbers and searching websites like s-manuals hasn't yielded anything. It is an sot23-6 package type according to my digikey ruler and I was able to work out some of the pinout from voltages on the board and following the traces around. I'm not really sure what a suitable...
