I would like to know what model is best suited for testing these waveforms. I have been reading and apparently you need at least a 200MHZ scope. Is this true?

Re: Oscilloscope for testing YSUS and XSUS waveforms
To display the subfields you'll need around 250MHz scope or better...
However, you'll not often need a scope to find Y-SUS faults....Last edited by Alastair E; 12-31-2015, 02:59 PM.TELEFIX

My 100MHz scope is more than sufficient:

I use a Rigol DS1074Z which is a 70MHz scope, I have upgraded it to 100MHz amongst other addons which can be "hacked".
You can get the DS1054Z for about $350, IMHO it's one of the best scopes you can buy now. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Greetings all!
Originally this set had the usual messed up video symptoms such as: horizontal lines, weak, grainy video, bottom and top of picture differ in intensity of problem. It also seemed to slow to turn on or show the messed up picture.
Seemed like must be YScan/buffer board failure. Ordered buffer boards from my distributor which were supposed to be original/new and also from another distributor, I ordered the YSUS because I wanted to replace it for preventative maintenance. (also, the YSUS had a bulged cap, so there was even more reason to suspect it could... -
by sam_sam_samHere is the website link for this project that I plan on making

But I going to use a different enclosure for this project and make it more professional looking and use safety features that was not used in this video
I have some 24 volt switching power supply from my battery testing machine that I modified for a different switching power supply that is more suited for my new application and new purpose for testing BMS protection boards
If can find one that I can modify the voltage output on I have a...09-09-2024, 04:47 AM -
by EvetsI have recently acquired a Dynamco D7100 analogue oscilloscope without a user manual. As this is the first time I have owned or used an oscilloscope I would like to try and find an instruction book. The manufacturers no longer hold any information and a Google search only found one site but when I downloaded a 'service manual' all I got was gobbledegook. Any help would be gratefully appreciated or even pointers to a generic manual where I could learn more.

by sam_sam_samI decided to try a new approach to testing unbalanced battery cells with my battery testing machine that has more graph curve information and it looks like if you discharge them to 2.00 volts if the battery voltage does not come back to over 3.something volts you have some kind of issue with that battery cell
I going to do more testing and see if is the case or not
More to come later -
by sam_sam_samI just bought this device that came in the mail today I put a set of 4 brand new 21700 high current battery on the charger
The charger has four individual temperature sensors for each battery cell
The bar graph for each individual battery cell is very primitive but will give you a good idea of how each battery cell is preforming and I find something odd I put on the individual battery testing machine that gives more details of the charging/discharging curves but it will be quicker to just charge and discharge battery cells that do not have any issues
Or test... - Loading...
