I have replaced Main board, Logic board . I have took the reading as the following

Vscan =-200V
VE= 92V


All other voltage correspond correctly to what the Samsung sticker calling for .


I done all trouble shooting i could listed on my other open thread

Y main heat sink are cold , panel are black not glowing , I disconnected the main board and shorted SMPS to power set and jumped pin3&4 on logic and no test pattern .

I can hear the X sus working and it's heat sink getting warm .

Do i throw another part at it like Y-main or send it to the trash and go fork money for a anew set .. My Wife missing all her 25 days of X-mas Movies

Do you have a DMM and know how to check for S/C ?

What is DMM and S/C ... I have refurbished y-main on it's way and Repair manual but wont hurt to check what you mentioned

DMM = Digital Multimeter
S/C = Short Circuit

Any way i could test the Y main buffer and the C buffer that run vertical across the bottom of the TV


What is the main component that is responsible for powering the Plasma Screen ?

Sounds like the Y-SUS is stuffed. A faulty Buffer-board can kill a Y-sus.

As to what 'powers' the panel--They ALL do, X-SUS, PSU, Y-SUS and control-board!
--Unlikely the C boards faulty.

So i ordered Y Sus ... DO i need to Get a Y buffer as well or one at at time . Is there a way to Test Y buffer

I tested the Y buffer By following the You-tube guides to check for any IC short and all 12 IC passed and did not get any audible tone ..

You will need to check the Ymain, do you know how to check for shorted Fets ?

i will do my best if you point me at the right direction , I am learning as i go .

Although i have refurb Y-main on it's way i would like to repair the original for backup and learning as well

ITS A LIVE ....


New Y sus arrived and installed successfully with great result , Got the Picture back and saved the 50" Plasma .


I learened alot thru the process .thanks every one for helping me out
