nice video ,but tells nothing really. adding fan to Ysus is not needed as the heat sinks on this model do not get That hot and adding heat sinks to the buffers is ineffective as these do not get hot . they fail due to voltage faults
One of the major problems with determining if electronic items get hot is using your idea of what hot is ,too hot to touch for a few seconds is not too hot for semiconductors

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I got carried away with the fans and heatsinks haha. These Tvs however get that hot to the point where putting your hand on the top cover over the Psu or Ymain (with out fans) actually hurts and burns you haha..... Samsung egineering

Slightly off topic:

How do you carry these 45kg (95 pound) TVs into your car/room? They are relatively heavy and awkward to get a hold off?

I have three of these sets
Not one had a problem with the Ysus ,but all had Top buffer chip faults (the top one)
replaced the top chip on all three ,all work now
I wonder why the top most buffer chip fails ,does anyone know?

Thats a good question, the answer is im not too sure. I carried it up 15 steep stairs single handily. Im not the strongest person barely anything to me haha. Seriously im unsure how I manage with out dropping them and destroying them

In my experience the Ymain always kills the buffer, I have seen the buffers on some other Samsung sets with a different Ymain. But always a faulty Ymain will kill the buffer. Unsure about that sorry.

They are a baby 50", try a 50PX4D, the best part of 60kg.
I see Reecey more on one of those segway hoverboard thingys than a BMX

Im getting a 50PX4D soon off my cousin in Liverpool (thread to follow after Christmas) look forward to heaving it up stairs lol

I prefer to walk rather than use my bike or Segway to want to run them down with the weight on the tv

I think one of the largest and over the top heavy set I have picked up, was a Sharp LC52XDIE six floors up and no lift. But I have dropped a customers 50" Samsung in the past, that was hard to explain as it only come in with a buzzing X Sus, had told them it was fixed,then drop it trying to open the back of my van. Shit happens

Not just heavy but longer than normal due to the big speakers.
I can get a normal 50" on the back seat of my Focus, this one had to go diagonally in the boot with the seats down.

Jesus lol I know the type did a phillips 50pf7530 (or something like that) it had enlarged speakers was a pain to lug up the stairs had to di it one by one haha

They ended up with a 46" Panasonic free-sat plasma that at the time was 2 years old that I gave them?not bad as there 50" Samsung was about 5/6 years old. but by the time I had parted out the Samsung there was little in it. The days of making any real money from fixing sets has long gone, and as for selling them, every one wants to pay peanuts, why not when they can buy a new 40"LED smart set for under £180 delivered to there door.And as for you not have any mishaps as yet, your time will come trust me you have a few years to go before you catch me up.

Yep sales of refurbished Tvs is decreasing. It isnt a job you can make a proper living on eventually in a few years there wont be a market for it at all like in the US atm im making shit loads haha for someone my age so im happy but will need to look for an alternative job later on
