    Hi
    my tv stopped working it still powers up when you press a button it clicks nothing on the screen no picture or sound, anyone have an idea, handy with a multimeter can test the parts

      How about posting some clear focused pictures of all your boards following my instructions below?

          I don't know the history on the card but at the key there is a small chip, see below. Looks like trace B10 3.3v and B11 React, A1 12v and A11 Reset is a little short but looks like it could still make contact. Here is exactly what it does. I was installing windows on a test PC to use with this, the card did put out video at that time uing the standard GPU (was an old version of Windows 10- v1510).           I am new to electronics and I'm understanding most of what I'm reading but I have a mosfet on my board that I've identified as a P-channel Trench Mosfet. I haven't a clue how to test this and what I should expect to see with the multimeter probes. I am hoping someone with years more experience than myself can help me understand how to use a multimeter to read this.           Hello, I have a customer that brought this laptop in after replacing his battery. He said his original battery charge was not lasting long, and after replacing the battery with one purchased from iFixit, the charging worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped, and the battery is no longer detected by windows.

          I'm stumped on this guy, so wanted to see if anyone has any further ideas:

          Intro:

          This is an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-55M1 with unknown prior history (bought "as-is" on eBay). It charges the battery and powers on from both AC adapter and battery, so I think this rules out main power issues.

          Upon attempt to boot, it will "reboot" (meaning powers down and then powers on again) only once, and then stays stuck in a status of lights on / no post / no monitor. Powering on with fn+esc maxes out the fans on first boot attempt,...

          I have a laptop that isn't turning on. When I disassemble it and plug in the power connector with the pcb by itself, I can see with a thermal camera I bought that TPS51285A is the only thing getting hot.

          So of course, the first thing I do is google the laptop model and the IC, and it just happens that I stumble upon a video by Northridgefix attempting to repair the exact same problem, only for it to catch on fire.
