    LG 50PS6000 intermittent problem (Video included)

    Hi,

    I've trawled the net far and wide and can't seem to find anyone else that has this exact issue. 50% of the time the TV works fine... the other 50% it does a strange "double image" thing.

    <LINK REMOVED>

    I've replaced a couple of suspect looking caps on the main input board and reseated all the ribbon cables. But it's still faulting.

    Thanks for any help.

    You have to figure out if this issue comes out of the main board or the T-con board. Reseat all cables on the T-Con. Make sure all mounting screws of the main board and the T-con are tight. If this yields noting, I'd be measuring the LVDS signal off the main board with an oscilloscope and see if the low voltage differential signal changes or not.

      Thanks for getting back.

      I've already reseated all the cables and just tightened up all the screws. It's still faulting.

      Unfortunately I don't own an oscilloscope.

        Can you take a photo of your control board?

        I have a 50PS3000 here which is working normally aside from the common Z-sustain fault. I can take some measurements to compare if you like.

          I Don't have an oscilloscope. Can the measurements be taken with a multimeter?

            You can't substitute a oscilloscope with a multimeter

              @mods need to remove the video link, it's a spam link to a pron site

              Oh well, back to finding a fix for my 50PS6000
