    Toshiba 32w1333b

    Hi GUys,
I have the above tv Toshiba 32w1333b with a problem.
Sometimes it will turn on fine but most of the time it tries to start up but fails.
The best way I can describe it is like a Flourescent light with a starter gone.
There is a small flicker of light from the panel and then nothing.
I think it maybe psu related as this has one of the infamous vestel panels 17ips19-4 psu's.
I will take some pics of it when I get home this evening.
    Thanks
    Red

Sounds like a loose connection on the leds see it alot on these cheap vestel sets. Let me confirm this the leds fire on but some times wont stay on ?

      Yes exactly,sometimes it is fine.
I then power off the tv and try to power it on and there is nothing.
I took the back off and tried to turn it on and I can see a small flash of the panel looking from the back.

Ahh right well sound like you have an led backlight fault more than likely the psu is ok. I repaired on with the same issue "2 seconds to black" where the bulbs fire on but don't stay on it was due to a corroded connector on the led strips them selves. I had to add some fresh solder on to the strips connections and the issue was solved.

You can keep the Psu and Mainboard mounted but you will need to remove the Lcd panel and diffusers to get to the leds.

You can watch the video to see what to expect. It's for a different set, but it will give you an idea to determine if you want to go any further with this.
