    Toshiba 55G300U resistor value

Need to replace the resistor at R101 on power board model # PK101V1790I. I need another set of eyes to look at this thing. i would swear looking at mine that it is red first so 15ohm but looking at a pic from another board I would swear it was brown first.

    Any help appreciated.

Where is that resistor R101? i do not see it in the picture.
Is it in the primary side?
OK, I see that now in the second post, that is high resistance high Voltage resistor for bleeder circuit in the primary side, the board does not need that resistor to function. That resistor is not your problem, what ever problem you have right now.

OK thank you. I found the resistor was bad and quit looking after that. I am not getting any secondary voltage out of the board. I have already ordered a new board but decided to take a look at the old one.

I doubt that resistor is bad.
You need to find out if you do have 160VDC between the two legs of the main filter caps. BTW, you already tested the main AC fuse, right?
I f you are not getting and DCV on the secondary side then we know that the standby power supply is not working, without standby Voltage to run the main board the other section of the power supply will not be putting out other Voltages due to no command signals form the main board to turn on the rest of the power supplies.

            Re: Toshiba 55G300U resistor value

I did check main fuse and when I checked that resistor i get no reading on it. Ill put the board back in and check for voltage at the caps. I checked all the caps after I pulled the board but didn't do much with it in.
I'll check that in the morning.
            Thanks again.

That resistor is in Mega Ohms range.

                Re: Toshiba 55G300U resistor value

Had to work this morning but finally got home to do some more testing. Just to make sure I was getting good connections I pulled out some bread board jumpers and checked my secondary voltage again.
Now with a good connection I am picking up secondary voltage at the main board.
                24v at pins 3 and 4.
                12v at pins 8 and 9.
                5v at pin 10.
                5v at D1m_S.
                4v at Pwr.
                0v at ACD
                0v at D1m
                0v at Inv.
I also have 24v at the backlight boards with 0v at D1m, Inv and N.c.

If I unplug the power connector to the main board and plug it back in I get backlight for a second and then back to nothing.

                  '0v at D1m
                  0v at Inv.'

Main board is not sending the INVR ON signal or Dimming signal.
