    clicking plasma

I had a hell of a storm come through the other night. Lost power for just a moment. I then noticed that my plasma would not power up. I checked my Panamax surge protector, but it was showing no failures. I was told that it was possible that it surged through the hdmi. I unplugged it for an hour and powered it back up. It (samsung pn58c7000yf) just clicks every few seconds. I took the back off and attempted to unplug each board as instructed in other post. The red indicator light remains lit but the clicking persist.

maybe see if you can find a procedure to isolated the main, jumper the PSU and on the logic board there may be a jumper which forces the test patterns on. Basically under this, if everything is jumpered correctly the TV should fire up and produce test patterns on the screen. In that case the mainboard would be the issue.

I just don't know it off the top of my head but it's a standard procedure used in the Samsungs.

It's probably the mainboard so you'll need to jump on the powersupply.

Jump ps-on to ground. And 5vstnby to vs-on.

Then on the control board jump pins 3-4 on the little black square with 4 pins on it
Located just above the arrow here:

Then disconnect the orange wire leading to the main board.

          Power on the TV.
