I'd like to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your assistance in the repair of this TV. Without you it would have been strictly used for parts. The wealth of knowledge you and a few others hold and share on this site is immeasurable and has saved probably thousands of Electronics from a premature death. I do tinker with various pieces of electronics and fix a few things, but..
what I have learned...
- the voltage to look for on a main filter cap
- What a PFC is
- how the Ground selection determines my voltage readings.
- a little more about circuit tracing
and.. More confidence that i might just be able to fix a power supply rather than use it for spare parts..
Here is the TV that YOU helped... I mean.... I assisted YOU in repairing and the the single cause for the whole issue...
