Hi All,
Long time lurker and first time poster as im totally stumped! Please help me!
I have a 2010 Samsung PS50B530 (PN50 in USA?). Its always had an annoying buzz, but recently it has gotten louder after a house move (not at high altitude). Its a 50Hz electrical noise which is louder when on brighter scenes. The TV is plugged in on its own and i have tried different power cables, ferrite cores etc.
Last night i removed the rear panel and tried to isolate/pinpoint the noise but to no avail. I tried moving my ear and then using a wooden spoon to attenuate the buzz but cannot seem to find or stop it. It comes from both side boards (X_main and Y-Main? - Part Nos: Samsung LJ41-06152A & LJ41-06153A), and the noise stops when these are unplugged from the PSU board.
I have tightened all screws on all circuit boards (most were fairly loose!).
The only thing that quietens the noise is physically leaning the TV backwards! This reduces the noise by ~50%. I presume it could be a preventable earthing issue due to the fact that both boards are buzzing - does anyone have any ideas?
Many thanks in anticipation!
