    Panasonic Viera TX-23LXD50 display problem

    Hello

We have a Panasonic Viera TX-23LXD50 with a problem.

The screen lights up, but the picture it shows is condensed lines like this:

The pattern and colours change depending on what content is selected, the above picture is the "menu" page of the set.

I removed the back panel and I did not notice any parts that were visibly/obviously faulty. The visible capacitors looked okay, but I did not yet remove the boards and covers.

Any ideas where to start with a diagnosis of the problem?

Does anyone know where I could get a service manual for this model? I looked at E-Tanya, but I could only find the manual for the larger display models of this type (tx-26lxd50, tx-32lxd50 etc) there which I got from there. There seem to be differences.

    Thanks.

Perhaps start by unplugging and re plugging all the cables.
Try and locate the one that goes to the screen LVDS clean and reseat that and
see if it makes any difference.

If no then next would be to test and list the secondary voltages on the
      power supply.

Also try pre heating the caps gently with hairdrier before switching on then try again.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair
