    Samsung PN51D530A3F not turning on

TV doesn't power up when you press the power button on the remote or the touch panel. The red LED is on and when you press the remote power button the light blinks, but the TV won't turn on. Attached PDF is what I did to see if the power supply has the correct voltages and they are in specs.

I bought a main board from eBay and replaced my board. The TV turned on by itself and showed the channel on the top left and no signal on the screen. I had the cable hooked up. The LED indicator keeps flashing constant and cannot do anything. You cannot turn it off with the remote or touch panel nor can you view the menu or change anything. I left it on for a while and the TV turned off on its own due to no signal. Now its back to the same issue. Power indicator on, flashes when you push the power button on the remote, but doesn't turn on. Pressing the front panel buttons doesn't work. What could be wrong with it? The person that I bought the main board from is sending me another one, hopefully that will work.

If you unplug the tv and then plug it back up does it turn itself back on? Was the TV set to the right input to recognize the cable?

It does turn back on by itself after I unplug and plug it back. It was set to Air, but I could not change the input on the TV itself.

Sounds like the control button board is bad or simply not plugged up.

          The IR board?

The one with the touch buttons on it. I think it has an IR sensor on it. Seems to be an occasional failure on Samsung TVs.

Ok. I will try and replace it. So do you think that the 2 main boards are still good?

I'm not certain but it's an unusual failure if they are bad.

Just got in the replacement main board and still the same. Now time to replace the IR board (BN41-01696A). Will keep everyone posted.

Is there a special type of adhesive I should use to install the new IR sensor board? The old one had an adhesive on it.
