    PANASONICS TX-P46ST30B Plasma Service manual

Hi guys I have the PANASONIC TX-P46ST30B in for repair and there is no power LED or flashing etc. Just dead.

I have checked the fuses and AC voltages from the lead to the pin outs of the AC and the all seem fine resting usually @ 230VAC. I also check FET's, Diodes, fuses, caps on the secondary PSU etc. I can't seem to find anything unusal.

I have checked the usual, by plugging out P2, P11 plus the SC2 and SC20 to see if it was one of the boards causing it to not turn on.

I can't really go any further until I can obtain the power supply voltages that lead to the T-CON board or what they are supposed to be. Although I have tested and have only found two sources of 4.9 stable voltages out of the 16 pin connector

    Secondary PSU is a "TNPA5426"

First PSU supplies other is "TNPA5629"

Any help would be great. If you guys need any other info just ask.

Sounds like A board id 5vstb is present but no stdby LED which is 3.3v via A board, if no relays clicks with plugin , also A board.

Thanks for your reply, I will take out the A board and inspect it, is it's the one I haven't looked over yet. Yes you are right, I hear no Relay clicks when I plug it into the socket outlet.

Will get back to you after looking at it.

I haven't got a chance to get a new main board for it yet, but I did have another go at looking over it.

I will have to say that the 5volt standby on the PSU was infact not there. There is no power at all from the main connectors that lead to the A Board (Main Board)

The only voltage I get is a +15VDC on the power supply which leads to the power switch PCB. Other than and AC voltages on the Hot side are there. There is nothing on the connector that leads to the A board in which I presume you mean the Main signal board where all the inputs are for HDMI etc.

If I am not getting any standby voltages, I gather it's the power supply then ?

I am going to take some pictures of it tomorrow to explain more. I think they would help at bit.

        Thanks :-)

Just finished working on a TH-P50VT30A, dead, no relay clicks , standby voltage or front LED.

          P board is a TNPA5426 variant

This is a real unlucky story. This started as 7 blink bad SC, Then found bad SS 8 blink upon that repair 8 blink, fixed that good for a few weeks.

get a message , TV died. Expecting a bad repair, my boards were fine. Power board has died.

So, symptoms I found match this thread.

I Found what the OP stated about 15V being present on the power switch connector P34.

Checked all the usual fuses, links etc. Nothing open. Tried swapping IC455 and IC401 , no joy there.

Started checking the zeners and found ZD103 in schematic (D133 on board) reading both ways, but diode was ok leaving Q101.

Once removed, zener was ok in cct. Transistor is a FET, marking PZ and after considerable time found it as ROHM, RSR020N06 2A, 60V N FET with built in diode.

Replaced this FET and clickety click, back in action.

Also found RSR030N06 which is a 3amp version if you wanted to upgrade
