  • LG PLASMA 42PJ350 Snowy Picture

    Hi guys,

As the title states, the picture is snowy only video sources (All) the menu's are not effected by this issue at all.

I haven't taken it apart yet as most of my lab tools are boxed away as I am in the middle of moving to a new location so I thought I would post this issue here and see if anyone could point me in the right direction before I start pulling out my tools out of boxes.

The TV was working great until I left it on all night on youtube where the auto play paused so it was at least stuck on a static image for about 5+ hours before I...

  • Re: Toshiba Satelliete C50D-A-138 HDMI Port

Thanks guys for all your help. After searching for ages, I finally found a dead donor board for pennies on ebay. I will go with that route instead for now.

Once again, thanks for you help guys. Much appreciated ;-)

  • Toshiba Satelliete C50D-A-138 HDMI Port

    Hi all,

I have a laptop in for repair, and the client has messed up the gold strips in the HDMI port so it needs replacement. I can find tons of through hole board cut out HDMI ports online, but I can't seem to find one that matches this laptop. It is a through hole 19 pin board cut out type of connector (A)

Any help on where about's I can find this part would be great, I spent a fair amount of time looking already, but I keep getting the same results.

I port I am looking for has the 10 pin placement on the end. The one's I am finding online all have the...

  • Re: PANASONICS TX-P46ST30B Plasma Service manual

I haven't got a chance to get a new main board for it yet, but I did have another go at looking over it.

I will have to say that the 5volt standby on the PSU was infact not there. There is no power at all from the main connectors that lead to the A Board (Main Board)

The only voltage I get is a +15VDC on the power supply which leads to the power switch PCB. Other than and AC voltages on the Hot side are there. There is nothing on the connector that leads to the A board in which I presume you mean the Main...

  • Re: 2008/9 Samsung LN55A950 Displaying Horizontal Lines

I have the same issue with another TV, It's funny as I cleaned and then while the TV was turned on I started playing around with the ribbon cables and everything and nothing changed it was exactly the same. Now after two hours of looking around and checking voltages, it has some mysteriously come back perfect.

Would this be a TCON board issue, or the set ribbons leading to the different sections on the main panel ?

NOTE: It's the ribbon cables on the Panel. Time to restock the parts bin and send the...

  • Re: PANASONICS TX-P46ST30B Plasma Service manual

Thanks for your reply, I will take out the A board and inspect it, is it's the one I haven't looked over yet. Yes you are right, I hear no Relay clicks when I plug it into the socket outlet.

Will get back to you after looking at it.

  • PANASONICS TX-P46ST30B Plasma Service manual

Hi guys I have the PANASONIC TX-P46ST30B in for repair and there is no power LED or flashing etc. Just dead.

I have checked the fuses and AC voltages from the lead to the pin outs of the AC and the all seem fine resting usually @ 230VAC. I also check FET's, Diodes, fuses, caps on the secondary PSU etc. I can't seem to find anything unusal.

I have checked the usual, by plugging out P2, P11 plus the SC2 and SC20 to see if it was one of the boards causing it to not turn on.

I can't really go any further until I can obtain the power supply voltages that...

  • Re: Strange problem with HD5850 graphics card

I would try exactly what Momaka states. Reballing the BGA section if you have a rework station. If not, then find someone that fixes XBOX etc that does rework. Probably be no harm to reflow the hole card also. I have the same card and haven't had this issue, or even heard of it before, but as always, if it's under warranty, then send it back for RMA.
