LG LGP65C2-220P Bitten by a cat!

I have been passed this OLED TV which has an interesting story. The owner's cat was seen to bite the edge of the panel at which time the TV shut down and won't restart.

I can see no physical damage to the panel. I don't know OLED technology, but I'm assuming that the cat's bite caused some elements in the panel to come together, which normally should never come into contact? The bite would be on the edge of the panel where the connections are.

I've tested the power supply. When the Power On button is pressed it flashes off then back to red state. The Power On line comes up to 3.3 volts steady. The big main caps appears to cycle quickly between full volts then back to zero about every second. All fuses check out OK. No 20 volt supplies come up. Standby supplies appear OK.

Just looking for best guesses as to where to start? Do you reckon it's a power supply fault?

I've seen videos of cats biting screens and they break. Take a flashlight to the area of the break and look at different angles for small crack.

Not sure how you get the idea it's a power supply when the owner said it was damaged by the bite.. I guess hopeful thinking to restore a TV 😜

But maybe those videos are just AI and it was unusual timing

I'll look very closely again. I assume if the oled panel is damaged then the self check routine identifies that and won't start the power supply?

If the panel has got the same COG technique like LCD then a crack in the very border can damage those circuits and all thing you can do is to try the same old method of signals masking..

did the owner deliver the cat with this TV LOL. to check her teeth power ..

disconnect the lower LVDS between main boards and T-CON driver boards... if the TV remain on and the Optic Audio port lit red on MB and remain on then this cat damaged the Panel.
