Diagnosing an FFalcon 50" UF1 series TV

I got a UF1 series and from my (basic) diagnosis I think the TCON board is gone, as I have audio, and the TV will change channels, open netflix etc on the remote, but has no visual. I used a flashlight to see if it was the backlight but nothing at all shows, so I'm thinking it may be the TCON board, though I can't say I'm 100% sure on that if anyone knows further testing I can do.

I'm wondering if this is possible to repair? Sure the TV was "only" $400 but I would prefer being able to fix it rather than chuck it out as I rarely used it and I would love it to last longer than the 3 years I had it hopefully if possible, feels like a big waste to get rid of it if it's fixable.

    Thanks!

If you need any more info please ask, I'm not sure what to provide!

A blown capacitor or damaged solder joint could cause issues, so if you find any, it may be possible to repair those with basic soldering skills.

How could I check these? It is possible this is the issue as the TV was mistakenly put in a powerboard outlet that previously had a smart-plug plugged into it (don't ask why lol), which also blew and died, so I'm thinking possibly a power surge caused it.

It has a seperate t-con baord. Dissasembe tv, turn it on and check for voltages on t-con (AVDD, HAVDD, VGH, VGL)... If you don't get them, first remove flat cable from one side of panel and then test it again, and if you still don't get them connect back that side and check with other side. If you get these voltages with one side connected and other side disconnected, it is a panel issue and not t-con one, and everything you can try is tape fix
