How could I check these? It is possible this is the issue as the TV was mistakenly put in a powerboard outlet that previously had a smart-plug plugged into it (don't ask why lol), which also blew and died, so I'm thinking possibly a power surge caused it.... -
Diagnosing an FFalcon 50" UF1 series TV
I got a UF1 series and from my (basic) diagnosis I think the TCON board is gone, as I have audio, and the TV will change channels, open netflix etc on the remote, but has no visual. I used a flashlight to see if it was the backlight but nothing at all shows, so I'm thinking it may be the TCON board, though I can't say I'm 100% sure on that if anyone knows further testing I can do.
I'm wondering if this is possible to repair? Sure the TV was "only" $400 but I would prefer being able to fix it rather than chuck it out as I rarely used it and I would love it to last longer...
