Samsung HP-S4253 Y-Main and Buffer

This is 1 of 2 such units I own. It developed a band (approx 10 cm) at the bottom fairly early in its life but otherwise seemed ok.
I turned it on last week and there was no picture but sound was normal.
After reading of similar problems I was motivated to open and examine the set.

There is a blown chip on the buffer board as well as 2 bloated capacitors (1 leaked) on the Y-Main board.
I do not have the level of skill to replace the chip on the buffer even if it is available, so I will be replacing the board.
Is there any reason to believe the Y-main damage is more extensive than the 2 blown caps observed?

There is a listing on eBay for a buffer and y-main from the same model tv but with different pcb/pba numbers as mine.

Does anyone know if this will work with my unit?

Ebay vendor informed that the boards will not fit.
Guess have to get buffer with original number and attempt to repair y-main

Got replacement buffer and y-main.
Still no picture!

Either you may have gotten a defective buffer or y-main, or your panel has failed.

It worked after disconnecting and reseating cables to main and logic boards.
