    Philips 42" Model: 42PFL3603D/F7 Won't turn on

    This tv is giving me a headache, it was working fine until a bad storm hit and now is gone...

    Have replaced two capacitors from power board, replaced the SSB and the Tcom board also, there is not red standby light, have done some tests, look in the pictures, any help will be really appreciated, thanks...

      Hello. Got my hands on Philips 47pfl6008s/12.
      Problem is that it does not turn on. Last owner said the problem came slowly.
      One day did not respond to remote, had to unplug from AC and then back and it worked. next day had to disconnect 3-4 times before it turned on.
      And then it went into hours of unplugging and replugging until it turned on.
      When I plug AC into tv, it does not respond to "turn on" button or anything else.

      After 10-15minutes the TV starts blinking red LED twice.
      So it blinks twice, then waits 3 seconds, then again twice...

      Hello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

      hi after most repairs, i turn down backlight ,to acceptable level.
      on this philips using lc7.2e chassis, (ccfls with inverter board)
      cant find in menu how to do it
      ive looked through s manual and no mention of backlight adjustment?
      any ideas please

      Has anyone ever worked on a “Silo” branded tv?

      I have one. Model SL-4013. The tv is in great physical shape.

      The tv only comes on very now and then. The backlights are good - I dismantled the tv and checked out the strings.

      The backlight circuit comes up to ~35V when it’s not working. It goes up to 75V to illuminate the strings when it works.

      The big cap stays at 165V in a working and broken state.

      The tv doesn’t always turn on either with the remote or the power button. The tv’s red standby LED...
