So guy's I replaced all caps and power board is still dead, and t.v, but now have 5.23 volts at the stand-by pin.... the other 5.3 volt pins on the connector are no volts,
any ideas?????
Does PSON vary when you press the power button? Model # of TV? What have you replaced so far? Can you stop using exclamation marks?

Sorry Tom, very frustrated with this t.v, replaces all caps & now have stand by 5 volts as before it was totally dead, and if you search thread "samsung plasma dead" and look for me "grabcol" there is all the info from previous thread. £40 into this so far.. addictive lol
Why did you start a separate thread? Perhaps start replying to that one... unless that's not your original thread... in which case I'm lost a little here.

Shame, at least stick it on eBay or Gumtree and get some money for it first..!

Before you take it to the tip remove the PSU & power it up on a bench .Short the PS_ON pin to ground (the pin next to it will do ) & you should hear a relay click. Release the short & the relay will drop out again. If you don't get a click with this test then i suspect the PFC circuit is at fault.
There is a GOD...... I've just had a final look before taking to tip tomorrow and like you said Graham as I have read on other sites, shorted out PS-ON & rtn pin next door and 2 quick clicks from relays, then a click as short released..... plugged all the leads back in to p.s.u.............. shove the mains lead in and click click and T.V is on.... all the menus work and no unusual looking lines or anything, just need to get a aerial lead up its back side and hopefully its a good one........ Maybe the relays just needed a good short....
More like a bad fitting connector.cable & you have just reseated it. I do lots of these boards for my sins & don't normally get relay problems surprisingly. See how it goes over a few days!
