    Samsung LN55C630 Dead Blink Codes?

The SMPS had no 5vdc stby. DM809 (31GF2)I replaced it with a 150v 3 amp Shottky diode for test but I ordered a 200 voltage one plus spares. Got the 5vdc stby back. Removing the cable from the main board to the SMPS forced the supply on and backlights worked fine.
Power supply is good. Got all the voltages accoring to the silkscreen. Now to the main boards. Customer tried a replacement Main Board. Original is BN94-02701R Board he installed was BN94-04045B. ShopJimmy list both boards for the set. The original MB has a blink code. The front pannel led turns on then blinks 5 times orit just blinks 6 times. I downloaded the service manual that is for several models but it does not list the blink codes.
The replacement MB the customer bought BN94-04045B does not give an error blink code but does not work. It too will not turn on. No Menu. I have not removed the metal panel that covers the T-Con. It has the ability to test. Does the different MB require a different T-Con???
Testing the PS-on to the SMPS is .01vdc with both MB. The Fast Trac info
shows Power On CN201-2 (0 – 3V ). With the MB unplugged the backlights turn on. Removing that wire from the plug then measuring voltage at the wire
is .008vdc. With the connector unplugged at CN802 the connector has .78vdc
Are both MB bad? What am I missing???

Re: Samsung LN55C630 Dead Blink Codes?

The above set had a BN94-02701R MB and uses a 55.54T01. C06 T-con. Customer tried a BN94-04045B MB. ShopJimmy site list both MB for the
LN55C630 TV. But it also list two different T-Cons. The 55.54T01. C06 and the LJ94-03291P this will not work with this screen it uses 4 bonded tabs instead of two.. So Question is was something damaged when using the BN94-04045B MB with the 55.54T01. C06 T-con that is in the TV?

Samsung does not use blink codes, the flashing light is likely the main board trying to come up and resetting itself.

I would try another main board. Try getting the version the customer originally took out as you are certain that version will work with the other hardware in the set.
