Samsung LE32C530F1W (LCD), front control dead and no start

    Hello,
Samsung LE32C530F1W power supply is OK, the error is on the Main AV-Board BN94-02616H (BN41-01331B).
The A5V of power supply is OK ... all other voltage is missing. If I disconnect from the motherboard connector then inverter operates (the screen is bright).
Control panel is without function and LED is not lit, device no start and does not respond to the remote control .. is as dead.

The error is well known, only what is broken on the Main AV-Board?
    See here:

    "Hi,
This listing is a board repair service to Samsung AV board numbered BN41- 01331B used in various LCD Samsung TVs. These boards are in both blue and green colours (see the picture)
The symptom of the fault is the set is dead and there is no light in the front, although there is 5V standby from power supply. If you pull out the connector between power supply and the main board backlights will come on.
You would need to post your faulty board to me.
I will fix it and return on the same day by recorded delivery. Any questions prior posting your faulty board-please don't hesitate to contact me. We are professional TVrepair service, and we are located inBelfast, Northern Ireland."

          Thanks @tom66....
Are you sure it has the eprom error? In my mainboard is eprom to item number IC501.
In the service manual is a ATMLH004 2EB1 is installed and at my mainboard is a ATMH006 2EB1 in it.

Or do you mean a different flash and no eprom?

I have to write in the firmware in new eprom?

Must be the eprom even at 5V standby while? In my eprom on the item number IC501, is missing 5V.

Re: Samsung LE32C530F1W (LCD), front control dead and no start

                    Hi!

I had exactly the same problem, on my Samsung LE32C450 TV:
The A5V of power supply was OK, but standby LED was off.

tom66, you were right, is was a Serial Flash problem (IC402 on the main board):

First, I unsoldered the IC, then connected it to the SPI port of my Raspberry. I then used flashrom, to reflash the firmware.
The binary file (le26c350d1.rar) on a polish forum: http://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2617797.html. The file is also available here.

After reflash, all was back to normal!

Thank you for your precious information, you saved my TV!

I recal seeing a video by Norcal715 where he could get a TV to work by heating up the EPROM. In this case he had no source for the flash file. So what he did was to buy a new EPROM chip, and an EPROM reader/writer cheaply on eBay. Then he used a heat gun to heat up the bad chip so it could be read, and then flashed the new one. Bobs your uncle.
