Samsung UN60F6300 - no backlights but...

I acquired an older Samsung UN60F6300 2013 smart 1080 TV. It powers on and I can hear the beeps/bops when I move the cursor button. I have Voltage on both sides of the PS (mainboard feed and backlights). The backlights do not come on unless I pull the TCON board ribbon. Logic says something in the TCON is bogging things down BUT I'm interested to know if the panel can do this too. Next steps are to remove the outer bezel and pull the LCD ribbons and test again.

Any of you folks seen this in the past 11 years since this thing was new?

Update - pulling the ribbons to the LCD panel do nothing to make the backlights come on. Ordering a cheap TCON replacement on eBay

Simple test is unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, plug tv into power, if backlights come on and stay on, then your backlights and powerboard are most likely ok.

Post focused straight on pictures of each board and one the whole back as to see how everything is connected.

As you mention, pulling the power harness to the main logic board does make the backlights come on.

Putting it all back together and then pulling the input ribbon to the TCON does the same thing. Ordered a TCON on eBay last night.

Do you still want photos? Happy to provide if someone wants them for reference.

certainly sounds like a tcon fault hopefully the replacement solves the issue

These TVs are like whackamole. Inverter fixed the no video problem. Now the TV shuts down after about 10 seconds of use. But will come back on when power is pushed. Thermistor somewhere?

Didn't see any text in the reply. So as stated the TV now shuts down after 15-20 seconds. All of my Voltages are present at the backlights and the input to the main/logic board. However, I don't "see" them unless the TV is "on". Red power LED stays lit on the shell of the TV. Very odd indeed. Works "fine" up until it shuts down. Don't feel any excessively hot components on the main board. This TV might be a junker unless I can get this main/logic board working

Yes, at least a well focused picture of the tcon, troubleshooting will be hard without it, need to be able to read the indicator numbers beside the components.

You cannot fix this problem, in this chassis there is a reboot or unauthorized shutdown every 10-30 seconds. The problem is in eMMC, without equipment and knowledge you cannot repair it, only replacing the motherboard.

Interesting - I assume that the main board is a problem. Do you have any documentation on why this happens? Is the eMMC storage simply corrupted? Is there a way to repair using software over Ethernet or USB?

No, just pre-program the new eMMC with the programmer and the software version that contains OneNand (the software versions must be the same).
                            That's about it.

Had one recently that did the same thing, solved with replacement mainboard, that isn't a bad price there, see if its a match, check the numbers that start with BN94 on the sticker there: https://www.ebay.com/itm/27634567931...Bk9SR9KVx--6Yw

Samsung UE48H6410 replaced Mainboard but backlights doesnt go on

Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

                                I made the following tests:
                                1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
                                2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...
