Cutting the jumper on Samsung TV to solve the flickering

    Hello to all,
I have just seen this YT video about solving flickering issue on SAMSUNG TV. Reading many comments it seems this works.
But I wonder what is done here and how this solved the issue. I'm not able to find the schematics so cannot explain to myself.
Few years ago I had a flickering problem on one monitor in some factory which I managed to solve by inserting UPS between monitor and power outlet. I also notice on this occasion the flickering was gone if I put insulation tape on the power plug like shown in the attached picture to remove connection with the PE conductor in the power outlet.
I wonder maybe this is something similar with this type of TV

Try this in order, turn backlights way down, see if flickering stops, if it does, set backlights back like they were, next very carefully check the vdc of the main filter cap/the biggest electrolytic cap/s on the board, what is the voltage? if the voltage less than around 390 v, it's likely due to bad resistors, prolly look for RP802, RP805, RP807, RP810, RP819 and change them out.

That jumper is part of the protection circuit.
