I've posted so much for help on here, I wanted to share a success story instead this time. Got a Sony KDL-40V3000 off of FreeCycle, when I plugged it in, 13 blinks. Did some research here and on Google, broke the TV down the the CCFLs, sure enough one of them was dead. $24.94 including shipping from CCFL Warehouse, and the light I ordered on Sunday evening arrived today, IMMACULATELY packed... They go to great lengths to protect those lights!
30 minutes to break the TV back down to the backlights, 2 minutes to replace the tube, and 15 minutes to button it all back up and I have a fully functional 40" Sony LCD now
