    Samsung ue49mu6225k intermitent working

    Hello all,
I have a friend's Samsung UE49MU6225K with bn41-02568b that is working intermittently. ie. sometimes i have standby light and can power on, sometimes no standby light and cannot turn on.
I have checked that disconnecting main board BN-41 from the power supply, the voltages are good and panel light comes on. So i guess it's the flash corruption bug present in this MU models, right ? However, i cant understand how it is able to fix it by itself sometimes?!
After some fiddling with a bus pirate i was able to dump the flash.
Could someone tell me if it's indeed flash corruption on the W25Q40 IC ?

I have checked the power supply with the cable to mainboard disconnected and :
          - found that the JP821 (is floating... and shouldnt be)
          - the panel lights up
So i ordered a CH341A and tried to reflash with my original dump. It flashed successfuly but I cant write the QE and CMP bits (even after doing the mod on the WP and HOLD pins, pulling them through a 4.7k resistor to vcc, instead of being direct to vcc)
Reconnected all the cables and now (after flashing) the JP821 reads 12.8V when standby led is on... and the TV powers on and the JP821 still reads 12.8V.
Why was the JP821 floating (even without connection to mainboard) ? and why does it read 12.8V when on standby and also when tv is on ? (shouldnt it read ~7.5V when standby and ~11.8 [12.8V] when on, according to the power supply label ?)
          Next steps ?

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
            by DynaxSC
            Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
            • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
            • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket

            Samsung QE65Q700TATXXC is not starting
            by K212
            Hi,

my Samsung QE65Q700TATXXC has stopped working recently. It worked fine during the morning, and when trying to start it later the same day it just refused to start.

The standby LED is working, but nothing happens when pushing the power button, other then the LED blinking once. No picture, no sound, no chime, no relay click. I tried a cold start, and other recommended fixes from Samsung. Nothing worked. Then i even tried to reflash the firmware, but nothing happened, not even flashing of the standby led etc.

I contacted Samsung support who said it is most...

            Samsung UE65TU7172 – BN41-02751C – CI+ ECP Keys Missing / Digi Card Not Working
            by nader_guesmi
            Hey everyone,

I’m working on a Samsung UE65TU7172 with mainboard BN41-02751C. The TV powers on normally, I’ve applied the latest software update, and all measured voltages are correct.

Problem: The CI+ module doesn’t read the Digi card.

I accessed the service menu (using Mute + 2 + 4 + 7 + Exit) and ran the CI+ test. The results show:
            • CI+ production keys: Success
            • ECP keys: Not installed

So the TV doesn’t even attempt to communicate with the CAM/card.

I’ve tried multiple Digi cards (both old and new), and they work fine on another...
