So were the high voltage caps good on the inverter board, and it was just a PSU issue?

I can only assume the caps were good. I did use one on another power supply and it worked. I have no idea what was actually wrong with the PSU.

I can't seem to make a thread so I'll post this here:

I have a RCA RLED-4275a, the back-light comes on once when the tv is turned on, for a split second. then turns off.

I have used this forum to replace capacitors on a few Computer Monitors before with good success.

I have replaced the capacitors which were visibly damaged and I am still getting the same error.

I am getting sound when plugged into a tv source, and when using a flashlight I can see the image is working fine as well.

I have a few pictures of the boards:

          Greetings All,

I have the same RCA 42LA45RQ but my inverter board is some what different. I also have a back light issue. I have tried to detect high voltage with a high voltage probe which is giving me a zero reading. I have tried a second board that was supposed to be good and I get the same results. I have sound and the receiver is working. I am wondering if there is a separate trigger signal for the high voltage separate from the receiver processor board. Anyone know?

Here is a slightly blurry picture of my board.

I've discovered that one of the transformers is what destroys the 15pF caps. The set may work again for a while, until the new cap fails again, or the transformer gets worse, then the backlight will either be very dim, or simply shut down. You should notice the failed transformer running very hot.

              LG 47LN5400 Replacement backlights
              by Helikvar
This is more of a general question on replacement led backlight sets .Replaced a full set about 5 months ago on the LG 47LN5400.Set went black again and after opening it up an open led was found.Set was purchased on Ali-express and had the aluminum backs.I think the originals had copper backs .Are these sets too cheap and should I stay away from them.Any set I bought at Shop-jimmey for other tv's had copper backs like the originals and,I assume they may be of better quality and perhaps last a few years .So if anyone has any thoughts on this please share.Backlight sets for me are about 1/3 the...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
              by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
              by the_rem
              Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

Samsung UE48H6410 replaced Mainboard but backlights doesnt go on
              by max789
Hello, I have a problem with my Samsung UE48H6410SSXZG with the main board BN41-02156A and the power board BN44-00709A. Everything seemed like this, the TV could no longer be switched on, the standby LED always flashed 5x2 times. Backlight was off and no sound from TV. Also made the flashlight test and there was no picture.

              I made the following tests:
              1. Disconnected the main board from Power Board = backlight works.
              2. Connected the main board and disconnected the T-Con = backlights does not work.

So I ordered a main board from Ebay also BN41-02156A but from...

              VIZIO M557-G0: Backlights or ???
              by bpcannan
              'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...
