    panasonic TC-P50U50 3d conversion?

okay so kind of an interesting question may be stupid but here goes. I couldn't help but notice that the inside of this TV is very similar to the st. Series and the ut series minus the main board with the 3d capability. If I were to buy a 3d main board for this TV and install it would it work.? It looks like the panels and sustains are identical. what's the main difference in panels?

Well did more research. This tc-p50u50 uses same everything except the mainboard. Its a standard 2d non smart capability. The tc-p50ut50 is essentially the same tv with a different base stand and mainboard and back cover. If I replace the mainboard with that of a tc-p50ut50 do you all think it will work? Im going to get the stand and blue tooth dongle from a cracked screen tc-p55ut50.

My question isthe 55 inch version uses the same sustain board for boards and all internals as a 50 inch versions of the 3d TV but mine being a 50 inch version would the 55 mainboard work? Part numbers are the same.

Main concern with putting 3D board in 2D is often 3D is brighter than 2D and sustains faster - this may mean the current sustains or power supply will struggle. 55" main board in 50" should be OK -- may have to tweak some of the settings to get ideal picture.

And it works! Apparantly panasonic designed the tv to be able.to take either board. Only difference is the back and stand mount.

            Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...

Panasonic FZ-55 Toughbook main board schematic request
            by David Smedley
I've been working on this awful project with a Panasonic FZ-55, basically I'm trying to intercept the eDP signal from the main board, and replace it with my own eDP signal connected from an lcd driver. The problem is, for some reason the 30 pin ribbon pinout is really unusual and not playing nice with my LCD controller. Long story short, I managed to fuck up my board and pull off some pads on the eDP out port, I'm hoping to find either another eDP out source somewhere else on the laptop, or figure out this goddamn pin layout so I can just replace the whole native display complex with my controller...

            Panasonic Tx-P50G20B faulty main board
            by dgnisbet
I have a Panasonic viera plasma Tx-P50G20B which has a faulty main board. The picture freezes after about 30s and appears to lose vertical hold before finally going black. The main board part number - TNPH0838 (1) A - is common to several Panasonic tvs across a number of ranges however there is a second part number (TXN/A1LTUB for the 50") which is unique to each model.
My question is, given that the TX-P50G20B 50" differs from the TX-P46G20B 46" only in the physical size of the screen, is it possible to use the main board from the TX-P46G20B in a 50"? The secondary...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
            by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...
