Samsung HLS5065WX/XAA DLP Bulb Question

I need a new bulb for a Samsung HLS5065WX/XAA & was wondering if it's a good idea to get the plastic housing with the bulb or do people usually just get the bare bulb?

Also... Should I pay more & get the Philips bulb or are the less expensive bulbs ok? I looked on shopjimmy & not many are in stock..... I saw several on Amazon.

If you feel comfortable changing just the bare lamp,there nothing wrong with reusing your original housing,not to mention would save you few dollars ,as for lamp types the Philips lamps are considered best and generally comes with 1 yr replacement warranty, then there's the Osdram which normally has 6 month as well as the Osdram Neolux personally I've sold to customers and have had good track record with the Osdram lamps,I don't care much for the Neolux lamps have tried those and had high failure rate.I also be careful of the Chinese knock offs that you can find on internet i would recommend buying from reputable Dealer Ex: ShopJimmy,Encompass,Andrews Electronic,Union Electronics and so forth
