hi guys my tv has bowed ... i recentlyreplaced the caps on the dm board after a neighborhood power-outage left my tv blinking....
2 months later the blue light bowed ...
i will try to include pictures

Convergence amplifier for the blue channel has failed, it is replaceable (STK module.)

thanks Tom66 for your reply..sorry for not getting back to this post , work has been busy,
so anyways. i did read in ( google--other forums ) it was a likely cause.. the stk. module...
also read they get loose and a quick solder should fix the job...
Do you know what # on the chip it is.???
its the one located under the Big heat-sink =right???

Not sure what the chip # is but it's usually mounted vertically on a large heatsink... there are two of them each drives three channels (order could be red H, red V, green H, green V, blue H, blue V, but not always...) If you trace the coils from the blue CRT (which will be indicated on the CRT usually) you will find which amplifier feeds what in most cases. Most users would however suggest replacing -both- amplifier chips at the same time, I believe they're around $15 a piece so worth doing both.

Typically is printed on the chip. Post a picture of the boards in the set.
