hi all me again been a wee while

have this set come to me with a standby light problem
I cant even measure the voltages as it wont come out of standby

this is what I get
5vstb is 2.5v
+5vsb 5.10v
+5v 0.6.9v
everything else 0.0.8v

anything to look out for with this power board

Low 5VSB immediately suspect bad capacitors.

okies ill change them see where we go from there#


but also tom I know its not the same power board this one takes a mtl199tl

I tried a working psu in it a mlt198tx from cn42bair I get a green light when I press standby but no screen and no 12 volts etc could this be the bad eeprom on mainboard

or will this psu not be enough to fire it
all connectors were marked the same

does PSON change on good PSU?
NO - main board
YES - power board

These are all basic steps and apply to essentially every LCD and plasma. budm's LCD troubleshooting guide, stickied in this forum, contains such info and others, which I highly suggest you read through.
