Samsung HLT5687s

I have a samsung HLT5687s. I can turn the tv on and off by pressing the power button on the remote but if i press the power button on the front of the tv it wont turn on. But if i press the power button on the tv while it is on a message on the screen says "Not Available". Lastly the indicator led under the power button does not illuminate. Some samsung TVs have the LED OFF when the TV is ON.

what about the power button situation, i checked and the cord from the front and it does plug into the digital board.

Ok so i presses the power button on the front of the set a couple times and it started turning the volume up, weird huh? So i pressed the volume up button on the side and it turned out it was stuck so i unstuck it and now the power button works.

Lol haha. Interesting fix. This happened to someones cheap shelf radio, and I fixed it by replacing a pushbutton :yawn: I can't believe such a simple thing - a switch - can be built so cheaply that it fails quickly!

I've had the odd switch get stuck, causing problems before.
Usually, they fail due to contamination (humidity, water/moisture, dirt) which can be introduced at the factory or by the user.
