Ok, besides the obvious fact that all the help and information
here has helped me and everyone else survive and pay the rent......additionally:

This website has gone quite a ways towards reducing
electronic waste (which is quite bad for the environment, lead
content, etc). Think of all the TVs that would have ended up
in dumpsters and landfills.

Also, we are giving people who cannot afford a brand
new TV a better option of buying used, or fixing what they
already have. This is helping to fight against the
"disposable" economy where the corporations have decided it's
more profitable to make things that do not last, and are
encouraging people to always buy new things, and not
repair the older items.

Additionally, it's hard work, but also great fun to get these
babies fired up again, as most of you all know!

Which reminds me: Have there been any Badcaps parties
anywhere? I know we are scattered around the world, but
I thought it would be cool to meet some of you!

Yeah I agree, this is my favorite forum on the web. I just love the community, all of them are great people (well, most - just kidding!)

Yeah, this place is really nice indeed! Big thanks from me as well . I've helped a lot of people save a pretty penny by repairing their stuff. Not to mention all of the friends I have made (both here and in real life often by just doing a simple 10 minute repair job). And the knowledge... I don't even know where to begin describing that.
