Olevia 432-s12, blue light flashing, else, nothing.

Please be gentle with me, I am pretty much an amateur in electronic matters. Not totally ignorant, I know a capacitor from a hole in the ground, but don't have much experience in diagnosing problems, so any suggestions will be appreciated.

My Olevia 432-s12 went out in the middle of a TV program. Trying to turn it back on, all I got was constant flashing blue light on the front panel.

I removed both inverter boards, and found identical suspicious looking capacitors on both boards. Ends bulged, leaking. I replaced both capacitors, and replaced the boards. Nothing. Same issue, flashing blue light on front panel. So, while the capacitors may have been going bad, apparently they weren't causing the problem--yet.

I am pretty much at the point where I start guessing some more, or ask you kind folks for some advice. Is it worth replacing the inverter boards? Should I try something else first? Help?

The pics will have to wait a bit, until i can re-disassemble the TV. I put it back together until I realized that we really couldn't deal with watching a CRT TV anymore. Hopefully have the pics later today or tomorrow.

The caps came from a local electronics supply house, the place where local shops go, when they need parts.

This sounds like a mainboard problem.

Sorry for not posting in so long a time. I put the Olevia aside for a while, when I found a much larger Samsung on sale for cheap.

This may not be as helpful as it could be, since I misplaced my list of parts, and took no pictures, but if anyone is experiencing the same problem I was having, it might help you at least get started in the right direction.

The T.V. is working perfectly now. I'm not sure where I'm gonna put it, but at least it work.

Initially I replaced 2 capacitors, one on the master inverter board, and an identical one on the slave inverter board. Both caps were obviously going bad, bulging, and one was leaking. Ignorantly, I assumed that these were, the problem, and reassembled the T.V. Nope, the caps may have been bad, but there were further issues, the T.V. still didn't work.

I should have looked more closely at the main board while I had it out, as there were 3 more suspicious looking caps on that board under a metal cage. Anyway, after replacing these 3 caps, and reassembling, the T.V. came up like a champ, just out of the factory. 5 caps, total cost approx. $10, not a bad deal.

Elitebooks (820, 840 etc. all gens) and those continuously flashing Power LED + flashing CapsLock LED
            by STKR123
As the Elitebooks (820, 840 all gens) only show flashing Power LED and flashing CapsLock (continuously) + a very soft "ticking" noise near the DC Jack,
I wonder if re-flashing the BIOS might be of any use here.

As far as I understood, steady flashing either means insufficient power or a CPU/GPU/Motherboard issue. I use the original 65watt power supply.

There are so many threads out there, but most of the solutions involve flashing codes, which I dont have or claim that you MUST use the original power supply, do a hard reset, reseat the RAM, clean the RAM,...
