Hitachi Plasma P50A102A 3 Green Blinks

As stated, this tv is having some issues. Red LED comes up upon plugging the tv, Switch it on with remote and 3 times Green LED blinks. It recycles continuously and nothing happens. I took off the back cover and first checked for any possible cap damages. None, all caps are fine. Then i checked both left and right SDR boards, both was perfectly fine. Checked both Ysus and Xsus boards, both also seems to be ok with no damages on any of its components.

Then i moved to the ribbons of all boards SDR, ysus, xsus etc. Removed each one cable at a time and power up, still same 3 blinks. With all the ribbons attached to the logic board, i unplugged the main cable that connects the logic board to the main board. Wallaaaaa, no more blinking and the green LED stays firm for good but no picture and no sound as usual. Can on, can off and no more blinking. This are the inspection and tests that i did so far. Does this mean that the logic board is faulty? Is that where the ending is? Or the main board could be faulty? Feedback's and valuable inputs are much much appreciated

      Hitachi stuff is so rare,.

I suspect most of their problems are ysustain/buffer board related.

I've found no manual and from a different model sold here 50" FHD Plasma 3 blinks is listed as Y-SUS, SDM. That's the 50X01.

Generally if there's a fault it's the logic board that will shut down the TV.

So withy the buffer boards have you checked for shorts between gnd and the outputs.

Also post some shots of the layout and the individual boards, someone maybe able to get a better idea to help you.

I've never seen or touched a Hitachi, usually the parts are too hard to find and expensive so i avoid them for repair projects.

This has no ending but 3 blink and he found a blown buffer IC, looks like he only replaced the bottom buffer and ysus with no luck.

This link you should be able to download a SM for a A402 which has the same logic board in your picture.

page 29 on has some checks . You may be able to apply that info to your boards for some resistance checks on the x,ysus and SDR boards for shorts.

It's too big to upload here

I don't know if disconnecting the buffer boards and turning on will help but in this post on a different model also 3 blinks they claim it helped.

Hi TW2005, thanks a bunch for the input. Ive managed to replaced both left up and left down sdr boards plus the ysus board. This 3 are faulty. Now the tv is working perfectly fine. Thank god i had a good friend working in Hitachi and manage to get the parts cheap.

Glad to hear you fixed it. Apart from the odd buffer and Y-sus failure these are fairly reliable sets.

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
                by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

                Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
                by jm1234
                Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

                Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
                a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
                c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                by Alicat
                Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
                by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                Then each time...
