OK, power board is fine, so main board is more than likely the fault.

Are the T-Con boards interchangeable between models as long as the board has the same numbers? The one I purchased is for a Samsung UN55D6400 but mine is a UN55D6450. The boards look identical and have the same number in the upper right corner.

            Should be no problem.

About Samsung model numbers: Often, it is only the UN55D64__ part that is important. The "00" is probably a generic build, whereas the "50" is a variant build. The variant could be as simple as slightly different start up settings, different remote supplied with unit, maybe different bezel (plastic vs metal, different shape etc.) or set up to be more attractive in a different retail situation like a large warehouse (higher brightness and colour settings.) Typical in warehouse clubs (Sam's, Costco, etc.) The reason for doing this is because it reduces the ability for consumers to cross-compare prices and also stops the larger chains (Best Buy etc) getting angry that the same model is available for less from a warehouse club... because it isn't the same, it's ever so slightly different. Panasonic are known to do this too, e.g 50" plasma S60 for everyone else, S64 for Costco/Sam's.

at this point should I return the T-con board and request a new one? Seller on ebay seems reputable. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-UN55...item4d06c57fea

                Both T-cons are probably OK.
Both main boards are probably bad.

The mainboard being the one with all the inputs correct?

We have been unable to source a new main board for this Television. repairs are on hold until we can produce one.
