I am having a problem with my Toshiba hl167 tv. The problem is that when you turn on the tv the screen fades to black staring at the bottom and ending in the upper right within the first 5 seconds. The audio does not stop when the screen goes black. The problem is very similar to the one being described in this other thread.https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=23017
The other interesting thing that I noticed I that if no signal is being sent to the tv (cable unplugged) I can scroll through the menus and inputs fine. It only gets the problem when connected to the tv signal. It happens when it is hooked to the tv from all of the inputs except vga. When hooked to a computer through vga it functions perfectly. This is what is really confusing to me. What would cause it to not work for hdmi, cable and component hook ups but work vga. In the other thread it seemed like the tcon board was the problem.
Any would be appreciated.
