Diagnosing LG Plasma - Video of symptoms

    Hello All,

I have a LG 50PX1D-UC Plasma that I'm trying to diagnose.

My research so far narrows down likely culprits to the main power/ysus/zsus boards but I thought the video I took of the picture may be more indicative for more experienced...

    Video of problem

The best clearest part of the video is about 20 seconds in.
The 'no image' screen saver is very blotchy (improved quite a bit as tv warmed up) There's random white pixels around the black screen. Image is generally dim and noisy.

I checked some of the voltages at the ysus input and outputs and they seemed consistent and within range...Where else should I probe voltages?

None of the buttons seem to do anything in terms of switching inputs or bringing up a menu. I'm going to probgram a universal remote as I did not get one with the tv.

    Thanks in advance!

    The Z-sustain is bad.

I have replaced more Z boards on these panels than Y boards.

I am thinking a lot of the Y boards were replaced under warranty with these.

A re-chip is around 100 bucks. It will cost that in ipms doing it yourself and they are not that fun.
