Samsung Plasma TV - No clue (video + details inside!)

    Hello everyone!
I already repaired several PC monitors, so I decided to try with a Plasma TV as well. I went to the local black market to buy a cheap, faulty one (it was 70$ only).

    Model: Samsung ps43d490a1wxzg

I made a video to describe the problems:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-chq3c5akQ

Sorry for my bad english, I'm trying to do my best. :S
When I'm powering on, I can hear a clicking sound from the back panel (imo panel powering on), very few pixels are flashing up for milliseconds, but no sound from speakers, no picture at all.Connected to my PC as well: on my PC speakers I could hear the windows new driver attached sound, but nothing else happened (pushed source button on tv several times).
So I found 2 resistors which are giving 0 values on the "Y-board" if I was correct (checked with my multimeter). Did not check the other parts yet, but I dont even know where to search the problem. I was hoping bad caps at the moment or purchase, but I see that every cap is OK. (did not checked with multimeter yet, but all looks gr8)

Side note: i have no remote controller to this TV.
Please help me if you can: what should I check, where to search the problems.

From your video, you showed the cracked glass. That is the PDP panel, there is no front glass on this model. The resistors with low ohms are most likely reading other parts in parallel. Resistors when bad will burn open or increase in resistance, they do not short out or go lower in resistance.
Basically your options are to scap out the boards and sell them, or find another same model that may need just a board.

If the panel is cracked, you will see minimal or no light emission from the screen, it will not work again due to loss of gases.

Are you sure the PDP is junk? :S I wouldnt care about the crack if it is just a light damage and the screen would be still visible. That cracked area can cause not showing picture? What about the speakers? They should give some noise aren't they?

*EDIT*: Thanks for your answer tom66, then i think the only way to sell out boards to get back some $. :S Could you give some advice how could i test the boards before selling out? Or you can tell me about it from what you have seen on the video? I would say power board is ok, but hard to tell the others... Secondly do you have any idea where could I sell them easily? Ebay?

Unfortunately when it cracks the electrodes short to each other. This damages the Y-buffer board and lets the gases out. So I would not recommend selling the Y-buffer unless you test it as such: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51SZsfH60EY

Usually if the TV was working before being smashed all the other boards are good. The X-main on your model is in particular demand for around $25~$30 as it is a common failure; it's a special early model before Samsung changed to a newer cheaper design. The Y-main is also a common problem.

Regarding no sound, this would occur if the TV wasn't on the right input or if one of the PDP protection circuits is detecting a bad panel.
