I would first check if the power supply rails are good.

Check each voltage on each pin and compare to the labels.
Red probe on each pin, black on case.

20VDC or if it goes to "1", 200VDC.

Measure while the TV is running, if it stops, pause measuring then resume when it starts "working" again.

seems similar to the samsung i'm having problems with, get the crackle from the speaker the reboots and the distorted video

i found it's a problem with the av board, if i gave it some heat with a hair dryer towards the top it'd clear up pretty quick, maybe not be the same here but there both the same model LE32R87BDX just mines the 32"

exactly the same as min, if you change the input the fuzzy text fixes itself

found no solution for mine as of yet

                                The rails appear OK.
I would switch off the TV and cool it down.
Then heat up parts of the main board -- hairdryer and cardboard tube is one option.
When you find heating a part improves it, turn the set off, and repeat the test.

from what i can gather it's needs a reball on one of the bga chips, pretty sure it's the top one

reball can be expensive but so can a new board

No good without the reball mask I thought? Different for each chip and unlikely to be available for a Samsung LCD TV board. Lots available for Xbox etc!
