Vizio E470VL crazy remote control issue

I upgraded the TV in my bedroom to this Vizio E470VL, and after putting it in I noticed that my cable box remote control started acting up, and controlling the TV AND the cable box became difficult and I have to keep moving the remote around to get the box or tv to respond.

It worked fine with the previous TV. When the Vizio is off and the cable box is on, the remote control hits the box easy from every angle (you can see the light on the cable box flashing), but as soon as the the tv powers on you have to point the remote almost dead at the box, and the TV volume control is always hard to make work unless you get closer.

It's crazy but it is something with this Vizio. I did find some others with similar issues.

I tried putting a piece of tape over the TV IR sensor and it seemed to help a little but doesnt fix it.

Im trying to figure out what could be going on, and how there could be any interferance coming out of the TV that would affect the remote IR.

Pioneer VSX-522-K remote control not working???
    by tmhobadcap
I have this receiver for at least 10 years. Usually, we just use the remote for turning on/off and adjusting the volume. Recently, the remote control started not able to turn the receiver on. Later, the volume also could not be adjusted by the remote control.

At first, I thought that it was the usual problem which can be fixed by cleaning the contacts on the switches and the pcb. I opened the remote and clean it with alcohol. The remote did work again after that. But after one day, it did not work again. I opened it again and clean with alcohol and contact cleaner. Again it worked...

Old Privileg 5.1 speakers remote control question
    by piipo
Hi, I have an old Privileg brand 5.1 speakers. I have lost the remote control. I have an universal Harmony remote but there is no Privileg brand in it's software to add. Does anybody have an idea what alternative brand for a remote can I try instead? I'm attaching an image of what the speakers looks like. The image shows 2 main speakers, they are 5 + 1 in total. Thank you very much

    by hemant_2222
    Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is enjoying their repairs at hand!.

I am looking forward to get the schematic of Denon remote control RC1156. Actually long time no use of the remote leaked the battery thereby corroding few parts as well as the tracks.

I was able to join few of them but the remote is still not working, so i am looking forward for your help, in case anyone understand the schematic or the remote circuit diagram and could me assist me in repairing it.

Please refer to the attached picture, i think the voltage divider is missing...

    Fujitsu Aircon remote control
    by t4796
I managed to drop this recently. It fell flat and square onto the floor from about 1.8m. Can't remember if face up or face down.
The remote still kinda works but the display is blank and only shows up if I repeatedly flick the little silver crystal/oscillator looking thing on the board.

Not sure if this part is the culprit or if flicking it is moving something else, but it seems localised to that component as far as I can tell.

Having trouble working out the value of it since it doesn't seem to have anything other than a brand name printed on the side of it....
