    Hitachi P60X901 Buffer Replacements

Picked up a Hitachi 60 plasma, with both upper and lower "SDR" buffer boards having pin holes in the ic's. I cannot find replacments anywhere online, part # nd60200-0049,nd60200-0050. Can anyone else locate them?

    Re: Hitachi P60X901 Buffer Replacements

The ICs themselves, on the boards, are replaceable.

Yea I realize that, but cannot find them for under $10 dollars a piece. 6 of the 8 ic's on each board are shot. I was hoping to find the whole board cheaper than that.

$10 a piece looks cheap when you look at this price! I think the seller knows how rare they must be.

I saw those, not the ones im looking for. Those are for a 50 inch, this tv has two black connectors on each board.

Holy f#*k, who can charge $480 for two buffers? New TVs don't even cost that much!

Who'd pay that when it will most likely fail again. Seen quite a few of these up for grabs very young all with dead buffers over here.
Two things I do before I decide to grab a dead TV research parts availability and cost, look for common faults.

It sucks when you enjoying fixing them, hard to believe how hard it is to find parts sometimes.

Yea I normally do research the tv's, just got this unit for a really good price.I can find the buffers for the 50 hitachi plasma all day, even on ebay for 40 a piece. No luck on the 60. Either redicoulousy priced like tom66 stated or nonexistent.

                    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Schematic or datasheet for Plasma TV buffer chip
                    by Yanleb
                    Hi all,

I'm interested in understanding how a buffer board chip is working. I know there's about 90 outputs per chip to the plasma panel, but I'm more interested to know about the input pins. I guess that some of them are address pins, but I want to know more.

So far I've found nothing at all. I haven't found any datasheet about the various buffer chips, and I haven't found any schematic for the buffer board using them (Y Buffer Board in Samsung's terminology).

Any information will make me happy. It can be from any buffer chip or plasma TV manufacturer....

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
                    by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
